1st Prenatal Appointment!
So Ryan and I had our first prenatal appointment this week. For the most part we answered and asked a lot of questions. However, we did get to hear our baby's heartbeat (170bpm). The midwife found my heartbeat 3 times before she found the baby's and I think both of hearts skipped a beat everytime we heard something. Finally, on the 4th try the beat was faster and definitely not mine anymore. It was the most reassuring sound. I have never heard anything so beautiful. Poor Ryan had no idea they were going to try to find the heartbeat but was so excited that they did. We even came home and ordered our own fetal doppler so that we can listen to our baby everyday! For me, the sound was more of a relief. There really is a baby in there and so far it is healthy!

I didn't know you can order your own doppler. I'm totally going to do that!
That's awesome that you heard the heartbeat, I bet it's kind of surreal knowing there's really a baby there.
Too cute...can we say obsessive compulsive??? Who wouldn't want to listen to their babies heartbeat everyday?! Life was so boring in the olden days! I am waiting to hear a recording of my grandbabies heartbeat! Love it!
