New Tricks...

Sam has learned some new tricks recently. First, he learned how to knock on things. Then, he learned how to give a fist bump (he's really good with his fists). You can ask him to give you a fist bump from across the room and he will ball up his little fist and stick his arm out as he walks over to you. It always looks like his fist is pulling him toward you. He's so cute!

Then, he learned how to clap, but it was a long road. He started beating his fist into his palm like he was going to beat someone up. I was a little worried that I was raising a bully. Finally, we were playing with his basketball hoop and when he pressed the button the song came on and he did his little beat down thing. I realized then that he was trying to clap. We worked on it a little after that and he finally got the hang of it. Gommie even taught him how to do patty cake.

He also tries to say "out" and "all done." They pretty much sound the same, but as his Mom, I can tell the difference. Lastly, he knows how to say please...kind of. When he wants to drink what you are drinking he will say "Ahh" really loud and really angrily. If you ask him to say please, he will say "Ah" much quieter and nicer. I'm still not sure if we are raising a polite young man or a monstrous little bully. Either way he is adorable and we plan on keeping him around for a while!
